According to a friend who spoke with someone at LEGO Consumer Affairs a
couple weeks ago, it was actually _recalled_ in the U.S. (at S@H & LIC,
not retailers) due to a legal issue: the accidental unlicensed use of
"Indy"[1] in the set's (U.S.) name. Apparently, TLG obtained permission
to use the mark for 6335 and 8440 back in '96, but forgot to do so for
8445 in '99. One might thus speculate whether 8445 will be re-released
at a subsequent date in the U.S. with a different name/box or whether
it has been discontinued in the U.S. altogether. At any rate, FWIW,
I believe it's still available in Europe.

| What?!? Indy Storm has been discontinued already? Sheesh, it seems like it's hardly been around. Dan "rhendrix" <rmhendrix@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:FnsEIA.BBz@lugnet.com... (...) (25 years ago, 22-Jan-00, to lugnet.technic)
