You can download the whole 8448 from this link:

http://www.redbladeteam.net/eng/

Just 'tear it apart' on the screen.

I know there is also a DAT file of the 8880 somewhere on the net, try
searching for "8880" + "dat" in the Technic news, I think that's where I got
it from.

Can anyone provide me with a LDraw file of the 8880 Supercar's transmission,
simplified to just the basics? I have looked over the instruction book for
the 8880, and I think that some gears look like they are part of the
transmission, but I am not sure if they really are. Is my theory true, or is
everything used? Also, I would like to know where I can find a LDraw file of
the 8448's transmission. Thanks for all your help.

You could of course build them :) Just put in the parts you think are needed
for the transmission and leave everything else.

I had a hard time comprehending the 8448 transmission holding it in my hand...
