BrickFest 2002 is putting extra focus on both Technic and Mindstorms
activities this year.
With that in mind, the organizers are looking for individuals or
organizations who are interested in giving related presentations.
There are already a few people signed up for these sessions;
Jennifer Clark is travelling all the way from Scotland to talk about her
techniques and design methods she uses in coming up with some of the
delightfully realistic looking models she's posted here in the last few years.
We are hoping that a group from rtlToronto will be here to provide some
insight into competition principles and practice with tips on how to battle
harden your 'bot.
I shall be giving a short talk about some of the more relevant "hardware"
details of the RCX to equip people with enough information to be able to set
about designing their own sensors and motor interface devices.
There will also be a session presented by Claudia Coles on the integration
of Mindstorms RCX technology with 9v trains.
What we aree looking for in particular is some in depth "how to" sessions on
subjects like pbForth and LegOS. Or anything else you might care to talk
about. So if you plan on being there, and who wouldn't, then how about
signing up to be a presenter. Just follow the instructions on the
registration form to get to the presenter's application form.
See ya there!
