I checked the site again this morning and for the US it says available. The
box has RIS 2.0 in large letters with small pictures of four robots. The
Spring catalog ad for the RIS 2.0 mentions new advanced programming software
(I assume this is the 2.0 development kit that's on the Web with an enhanced
user interfface) and six pro-challenges (there are pictures of three of
these in the catalog). As a matter of interest the Spring catalog also talks
about Master Builder expansion set noting that it has "transparent
pheumatics parts." The Mindstorms site says nothing about either of these!
Other things of interest in the Spring catalog are Vision Command for $75
(instead of $99.99), the Extreme Creatures/Robosports sets for $32 each
(instead of $49.99), and the Super Tow Truck for $85 (instead of $112.99).

| Now, what I'd like to know is if the RIS2 shows Mibo on the box like the Japanese version does. The brick now clearly says "2.0," but did they actually change anything? It's not "available," it's "preselling for shipment before August [something (...) (23 years ago, 6-Jul-01, to lugnet.robotics)
