I have a working draft of a weight-powered pendulum clock made of Lego. I keep improving it all the time, and I am going to make it strike the hours, but right now here is what I have. It runs for 8 hours, it tells time, it can be rewound with a (...) (24 years ago, 12-Dec-00, to lugnet.technic)

I was thinking the same thing when I saw Issac Merkle's two-axles through a turntable. The second hand would have to be run off of the differential cage, because the minutes would be hard to sync since they would be advanced depending on what hour (...) (24 years ago, 13-Dec-00, to lugnet.technic)

Yep, I see what you mean. You're already pushing the limits without the extra friction of th second hand. Also, attaching a hand to one end of the diff block wouldn't be trivial... (...) <snip> (...) Accuracy can be very good. I have gotten my clock to be accurate to within less than 5 minutes off in 24 hours. And I haven't even gotten to extreme fine tuning (I am still adding and subtracting bricks, eventually I will get to (...) (24 years ago, 14-Dec-00, to lugnet.technic)
