This is one of the greatest things about the variety of elements LEGO produces, IMHO -- there aren't (obviously) an infinite variety of LEGO shapes, but they've thought things through carefully enough to make a very decent variety that can (...) The new power packs are nice but I don't see shocks anyplace in the new sets. Is the last set to have shocks the Super Street Sensation. It's good to see the Pneumatic parts make a return with a blue air tank to boot and at a reasonable price. (...) (25 years ago, 28-Oct-00, to lugnet.technic)

Let me guess: You are planning to build the Slizers in all-black? BTW: The double length friction pin with bushing originally appeared in black. The other colours have appeared later. Fredrik (25 years ago, 28-Oct-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.technic)

(...) I didn't say there existed another type of racing steering wheel. I was refering to the old medium sized generic steering wheel, as seen in e.g. 8428, 8445. Fredrik (25 years ago, 28-Oct-00, to lugnet.technic)

The only gears I've seen in black are 24 teeth crown wheel. I have three, but can't remember what set they came in. (...) It is pretty obvious to me that most real life shapes cannot be accurately modeled in LEGO bricks. To be able to enjoy LEGO building, one must have the imagination to recognize complex but common shapes (e.g. vehicles or characters) in the (...) While I'm no fan of Star Wars, I have seen the movies (and I have seen "Troops" :-) and as I have said before, I think the head of the LEGO Stormtrooper actually looks like a Stormtrooper. The (...)
