I dont want to use huge amounts of technic parts (especially studless beams) as this is going to be a model to go alongside the recent dump truck (the one with the huge bucket). I do own pneumatic parts but I dont intend for this model to be pneumatic.

Building instructions for 8459 (from Peeron) is your friend.

FWIW I built a studless version of it and someone followed in my footsteps (*). He has a few better ideas I might use to revise mine with.

I know you’re not after studless but you can expand on what 8459 did using your bricks as it began with bricks. And it does have articulated steering.

Hope this helps.
