| Does anyone know if the newer double bevel gears are stronger than the older lego technic gears? By stronger I mean won't break under pressure like the older ones. (19 years ago, 24-Aug-05, to lugnet.technic)

| (...) I don't know about stronger, but they're definitley smoother. There's less play between the newer gears. They're also wider, so there's more contact between the tooth and the gear perimeter. That may make them stronger. The only drawback is (...) (19 years ago, 24-Aug-05, to lugnet.technic)
