Hi,
Skip the rambling and go strait to the pictures:
http://wegmuller.org/v-web/gallery/Set8421. After building this new set (in
about 5 hours), I noticed two things that could be improved: - The boom move up
very quickly and came crashing down! My first fix was to install a restricted
outlet (see picture on my site for a detailed explanation). The second fix was
to add two more cylinders. - The boom was too short: on real
cranes,(http://www.liebherr.com/at/18134.asp) the boom extends forward, past
the cab while fully lowered. So I added eight studs to each section of the boom
which resulted in much nicer proportions.
