  Re: Bionicle prices == aiee

(...) I can't believe I'm even suggesting this, but if there's a triangle made of arrows with a number inside located somewhere on the bottom, that piece of plastic can indeed be recycled. But if you plan to keep the sets intact, but don't plan to (...) (16 years ago, 27-Jun-08, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

  Re: Bionicle prices == aiee

(...) Indeed. I feel more than silly trying to find space to store it because I can't stomach putting that stuff in a landfill. With a couple of exceptions, the packaging can't be recycled and has also become egregiously un-MOCable and just plain (...) (16 years ago, 27-Jun-08, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

  Re: Bionicle prices == aiee

(...) Those sets certainly do have increasingly elaborate packaging for you to throw away. (16 years ago, 26-Jun-08, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

  Bionicle prices == aiee

Yoiks! The price for Bionicle canister sets has jumped 30% since the last release. Is it just the weak dollar? The piece-count is roughly the same. (16 years ago, 26-Jun-08, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

  Re: New Crane...

(...) Yeah, check out my brickshelf folder....I still have all the cranes there with the exception of the 18000...So I have a good bit of beams :D (...) Yeah, I have seen the 2250's do the same thing. One thing that I have noticed about the (...) (16 years ago, 13-Jun-08, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: New Crane...

Impressive supply of Technic beams you have there :-) The completed model is going to be a monster. Nice job. (...) I've been checking out the design of the dual CC8800, and it appears to not really require that the turntable resists overturning (...) (16 years ago, 12-Jun-08, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Tick Tock.... The Flying Octopus Clock

Hey Chris, Well obviously the octopus is my faviourite part ; ) This is some excellent work. It is always great to see some technical lego solutions to various challenges, and this one stands up very well. Thanks for sharing and God Bless, Nathan (16 years ago, 11-Jun-08, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Tick Tock.... The Flying Octopus Clock

I have uploaded a ldraw file of my clock before the chimes. The clock is complete but the parts are not in an instructional order yet. (URL) Chris (16 years ago, 11-Jun-08, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Air Compressor Tank

(...) Respectfully, I believe this is not custom, it's the fischertechnik pneumatic tank. It is larger than the LEGO tank, and has 4 ports instead of two. They run about USD $6-7 retail, but you're required to buy them in lots of 10, so they can be (...) (16 years ago, 8-Jun-08, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: New Crane...

(...) Bob, thanks for the compliments! I think that 2 or 3 Tie Interceptors would me more than doable! I am expexting it to be able to lift around 10 lbs at the full height of 25 feet, and somewhere in the neighborhood of 50 lbs with only 5 feet of (...)   Re: New Crane...

(...) This is of course a very impressive crane, all in terms of size, complexity and how well it is capturing the look of the real thing. When it's finished, please post a pic showing its maximum load capacity - do you think 2 or 3 UCS Tie (...) (16 years ago, 5-Jun-08, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

  Re: New Crane...

(...) I have almost finished the Ballast cart: (URL) wish there was somewhere I could get a few of those new linear actuators. I really need them before August so I can finish this thing in time for Brickfest! Enjoy! -Alvin. (16 years ago, 5-Jun-08, to lugnet.technic)

  Air Compressor Tank

Does anyone know where this air compressor tank came from and/or what it is? Is it a custom-made thing? If not, where can you get them? (URL) (16 years ago, 1-Jun-08, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Skid steer: 8271 alternate

(...) A very nice model indeed that I built 2 years ago - quite challenging for someone like me more used to Technic models than to SNOT... ((URL) never had before the opportunity to thank you for publishing the photos... Philo (16 years ago, 24-May-08, to lugnet.build, lugnet.technic, FTX)

  Re: Skid steer: 8271 alternate

(...) good stuff, nathanael! (after more than 30 years i still haven't mastered technic building yet.) looking back at your brickshelf directory, i also like the 4508 'roxy' alternate and the 4099 transformer (been trying to come up with a (...)   Skid steer: 8271 alternate

Hi. After seeing more alternates here, I was reminded of an alternate I uploaded recently. I've been away for a while, and am now back with a small alternate for set 8271.   Pythagoras and his triangles and building

Hi all, If you are like me, you like to make things sturdy when you build them. One way to do this is to build cross links. Putting things at angles other than 90 degrees is helpful, but then you need to know some Pythagorean triples to do the (...) (16 years ago, 21-May-08, to lugnet.technic)

  Big motorized grader by Techniker

Hello all. I can't post much anymore since art school takes most of my time, but still check the net for awesome new designs. There are not many Lego graders out there, but another one by Techniker just emerged, and its awesome! (URL) you recall, (...) (16 years ago, 20-May-08, to lugnet.technic)
