Re: Brickfest Pneumatic Master and new Pneumatic Gate Circuits

(...) Kevin, I think "differential output" is what I really meant, though I called it "no leak" because the supply never leaks, one output or the other is always pressurised and there is never a state where both outputs leak. There is also only one (...) (19 years ago, 22-Aug-05, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.events.brickfest)

  Re: Darth Maul

(...) Hi Daniel, Congratulations on some nice work. Given the nature of Darth Maul, I know that he must be made from black and red pieces. This makes it difficult to see his construction, because black does not photograph well. I know that a (...) (19 years ago, 22-Aug-05, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.technic.bionicle, FTX)

  Darth Maul

This is a Bionicle creation based on the Star Wars character Darth Maul. Some points of interest are the leg connections and the horns.   steering

When I built my crane chassis, I found out that using gears would make it springy (due to the weight of the chassis), and also veryu difficult from the point of steering. I did notice however, that when the steering axle is turned in the middle, (...) (19 years ago, 22-Aug-05, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Dual Hex small piston compressor (repost)

(...) Hi Kevin, Thanks. I am sorry for the slow feed back. I normally can only check in every week or two as I have no internet at home. Currently, we are on vacation in Lacaster, PA on our way to Ocean City, MD. :) (...) It is my understanding that (...) (19 years ago, 22-Aug-05, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Liebherr LG 1750

(...) I drive the steering via a linkage to the very end of the main drive beam. ROSCO (19 years ago, 22-Aug-05, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

  Re: Liebherr LG 1750

(...) There is no requirement to have the main linkage down the centre, although that does simplify it somewhat. Those pics are only the basic prototype of the idea ;) ROSCO (19 years ago, 22-Aug-05, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

  Re: Liebherr LG 1750

Is it a lot easier to turn than using gears? Also, is it possible to hook this system up to a steering wheel? (19 years ago, 21-Aug-05, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

Hey coolness, you even squeezed a motor block with piston in there. .....and wow no kidding, you used the 8880 style wheels and suspension. COMPACTEDEDEDEDED--all tidy and neat. You made me think of something when I read your post. I live by the New (...) (19 years ago, 21-Aug-05, to lugnet.technic)

  Telehandler finally completed

After a year of building several things at once and balancing a new job with an apartment, I finally got the telehandler completed. It is the creation I am the most proud of. (URL) are maybe 3 other telehandlers on brickshelf, but not many people (...) (19 years ago, 21-Aug-05, to lugnet.technic) !

  Re: Liebherr LG 1750

(...) That wouldn't work with my design as there is very little room in the middle. I'd intended to link the opposing wheels with just a normal bar. The linkages between axles are going to run down just the left (or right) side. Steve (19 years ago, 21-Aug-05, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

I just reorganised my picture folders. Here is the new folder, with pics of the cab. Enjoy! (URL) (19 years ago, 21-Aug-05, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Liebherr LG 1750

(...) Well I didnt bother working out the exact lengths, but I found (URL) this technique> works ok. I've since refined it to allow normal steering and crab steering, and anything in between, but have yet to actually complete a MOC using it. ROSCO (19 years ago, 21-Aug-05, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

(...) Earlier today I started on the driver's cab (again using the cab of the set 8421 as a base, I was able to modify it, ie give it doors that open and close). It didn't take too much time, but what was a real problem was the pins. After pushing (...) (19 years ago, 20-Aug-05, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Brickfest Pneumatic Master and new Pneumatic Gate Circuits

(...) Mark, I did a lot of thinking about pneumatics in my long drive home over the last few days, and am going to try to share them here (yah, Steve, there I go giving away my competitive edge ;^). I started thinking about a piston and its ports. (...) (19 years ago, 20-Aug-05, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.events.brickfest)
