  Re: Brickfest winner Pneumatic Master

(...) I'm glad to hear you're writting pneumatic articles for Brick Journal. I plan on doing some articles for Brick Journal too. (...) I was thinking that this parlor trick might be used to create a very slow pneumatic delay (presuming it has (...) (19 years ago, 17-Aug-05, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Simplest steerable car chassis

(...) Hi Kevin I recommend you to go to Peeron Instruction Library ((URL)) and check models 8207, 8216, 8225, 8808 and 8816. These are some simple models you can build, and there are a lot more models over there that you can also use. Hope this (...) (19 years ago, 15-Aug-05, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

Re: Dave Schilling's pneumatic parlor trick

(...) This phenomemon is the reason why any pneumatic mechanism (such as steering) that you intend to stop in the middle (with pistons at the half way point) should always use two opposing pistons. This equalises the total piston area for each (...) (19 years ago, 16-Aug-05, to lugnet.technic)

(...) Is it because the extension side of the piston face has a greater surface area than the retraction side? The connection between the piston face and the piston rod accounting for the difference. Steve (19 years ago, 16-Aug-05, to lugnet.technic)

  Dave Schilling's pneumatic parlor trick

While at Brickfest I had the chance to meet Dave Schilling again. Dave is a very knowlegable technic/robotics builder. I also got the pleasure to meet his brother Phil. What a couple of nice guys. (and whit's of Nanthan's MOC's whare in the race?....) Thanks for asking! I had 9 creations there- all as one MOC. I don't know if the telehandler was the closest vote or everthing together, but the telehandler got the most interest. I discovered (...) (19 years ago, 16-Aug-05, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Dual Hex small piston compressor (repost)

(...) While at Brickfest, Nathan shared his knowledge of radial engines with me. My future radial designs will have an odd number of evenly spaced pistons/pumps.   Re: Brickfest winner Pneumatic Master

(...) Leg lift and leg drop are synchronized, but leg sweep was not. I did not have time to rebuild the body to provide identical leg sweep. Since this stopped the legs from completing their stride, I did not synchronize leg sweep. As Brickfest went (...) (19 years ago, 16-Aug-05, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Simplest steerable car chassis

(...) As I see this, it depends on what generation of "steering gear" elements you have. There are a number of different variants. You may even _not_ have some specialized steering elements. This will not make your task impossible, but a tad more (...) (19 years ago, 15-Aug-05, to lugnet.technic)
