Hey EvilMage! (...) Yes, I spent quite a bit of time picking up things testing thge capabilities. The coolest thing I did was pick up a Technic Fig and pass it from one hand to the other and place it down again. I picked up battery boxes and other (...) (...) Hi Nicole, This is an old part and rare indeed. However, they were recently available again in Europe through Lego Shop@home. Several bricklink shops still offer them. They are geared but to a higher final speed of 1200 rpm at (...) Does anyone know how much touque these motors have (from the drive hole thingy) in n/m. Mindstorms motors produce about 8.9 n/m and 8720 motors produce about 1 n/m but spins at about (...) (22 years ago, 25-Aug-02, to lugnet.technic)

dude, this sucker is lookin to be huge, and suprisingly intricate! full of detail, have you tried to hold anything with the hand yet, like a pop can or something? the finished product, as i said, will be montrouly huge, a massive undertaking for (...) 2 Hands, 2 Wrists, 2 Elbows, 2Arm Turns, 2 Upper Arm Pivots, both have Upper Arm Rotate. 4 RCX work in harmony to control the Arms. 12 motors. Check out the initial Head fit. I don't know if this has been published before. Just a bit off-topic, non Technic fun.... Check out page 13 of the 8040 instructions; you have to build a shovel with the dimension 4x16 studs. Lego suggests you pick out of the box: 2 plates, each 5x9 (...) (22 years ago, 22-Aug-02, to lugnet.technic)
