I have had good luck with plastic boxes, the shoebox size and the next up. An adjustable shelf can hold a lot of these and elements can be sorted by about any combination includning theme, model, shape or color. Special small elements go in flip lid (...) (26 years ago, 28-Sep-98, to lugnet.storage)
