My wife showed me a cheap way to get plastic storage bins for storing
small parts. They're not as versatile as the Plano boxes, but a lot
cheaper.
In craft stores they sell boxes for storing embroidery floss for $1 or $2.
They have 18 small compartments (actually 17, where one compartment is
double long). I picked up 3 last night for $0.99 each at a Michael's
craft store in Shrewsbury, MA. In this store, they were in te same section
as the embroidery thread, and not with the storage items, but YMMV.
