Zipper Storage Bags - Which brands to use, which to avoid?

I have been using zipper storage bags (hereafter ZSB), mostly Ziploc brand,
though I also use a few store brand and Uline ZSBs.
I haven't had any problems other than the occasional busted bag due to
overstuffing, failed zippers, and rips/tears.
I've had read, mostly on bricklink, horror stories of LEGO pieces discoloring
when stored in ZSBs, though the brand was never mentioned in any case.
I've never had the discolored bricks problem; maybe it involves a ZSB brand that
I've never had contact with, or a combo of ZSBs and something else interacting
chemically... uh, enough theorizing.
So, I would like to gather experiences about which ZSBs are ideal for storing
LEGO bricks, and which to stay far away from, to serve as a guide for those
considering buying and using ZSBs for LEGO storage.

My experiences so far:
Ziploc Freezer Bags - One of the best for storing bricks, due to their thickness
and high level of reusability.
Ziploc Storage and Sandwich bags (the thin ones) (not the non-zippered sandwich
bags) - Good for temporary storage of LEGO pieces, until a better storage system
in available, as well as packaging for shipping (Bricklink, etc.).
Great Value (wal*mart brand) - The worst so far, due to failed zippers. The
ridges don't always snap into the grooves in about 1 in 6 bags. Not a great
value if you ask me.
Fred Meyer brand - Prone to tears, but otherwise OK.
Glad Bags - Somewhat comparable to Ziploc.
Uline 4mil and 6mil ZSBs - The 6mil bags seem to be a bit overkill for storing
LEGO pieces, especially the little bags. The 4mil ones are ideal. 6mil is best
for the big bags (1/2 gallon +). Uline, however, seems to make the best ZSBs

I also store my LEGO pieces in Akro-Mils cabinets, craft organizers and shelf
bins, Sterilite Show Offs, and good ole fashioned LEGO boxes, with a few shoe
boxes thrown in.

So, which ZSBs would you recommend? Which ones turned out to be ZSBs From
H-E-Double-hockey-sticks? Any that I should quit using?
