That stuff is semi reusable if you take a little care at the end so that you can lift the end up cleanly and reroll it on a stick or whatever, and if you keep it fairly clean so it retains its static cling.      I just buy a case of 4 rolls every few years, works well enough for me. Granted, since this last move was only about 40-50 miles, buying a case was overkill. I only used 1 roll.
