Hi!

A fellow German AFOL recently "rediscovered" an old blue storage case in his

Would anyone happen to know where this case comes from, or if it has a set
number?
As you can see, it's made up like a 70s BASIC set. The old 'LEGO System'
logo hints towards a production date of 1972 or earlier. The oddest thing,
however, is that there were three old train instructions included (under the
grey baseplates) but no train-specific parts whatsoever!
Also, the case has a 'Made in USA' sticker - however, there is no mention of
'Samsonite' anywhere, and were those train sets ever released in North
America at all?

Any help will be appreciated! Maybe someone can recognize the suitcase
itself, used as a regular office briefcase in the late Sixties or early
Seventies?

Best regards,
Torsten

I think this is from the promo velveeta #4 set.
