Ok. I concede that point. It does seem strange to me that neither Vader nor
Obi Wan seem to register their prior acquaintance with the droids, but I know
that it can be argued that Obi Wan realized that his old acquaintances had come
full circle, and that Vader put 2 & 2 together later. I truly hope that Lucas
does have a great master plan in mind, and that my suspicions will be wholly

nonsense over the course of the last 2 movies (Ewoks, Jar Jar, and the Padme/
Amidala & Palpatine/Sidious "disguises"), I'm just losing some faith in Lucas'
story-telling ability. I just don't think that Lucas is trying very hard to
produce a credible saga with due regard for the AFOSW in mind.
