I believe it [an AT-PT] is about 3 meters tall.  Dunno how tall it'd be in
Lego though.

Heh... guess not then... 3 meters tall makes it just over 7 bricks high-- I'd
round it to 7 bricks and 1 plate (rounding up slightly)... Of course that's
assuming the average minifig is 6 feet tall, and is 42mm in height... they do
vary from fig to fig depending on hats, backpacks, airtanks, etc... General
scale conversion I use is 7mm = 1 minifig foot... And if you use the '4
pronged' piece for the AT-PT's foot, that'd mean you've got feet that were just
over 2 meters wide... Oh well... Bet you could still make one that looked
cool... just not minifig scale... maybe technic fig scale? I forget how big
technic people are...

(...) The Technic figures approx 9 cm tall, which corresponds to a 1:20 scale, I believe. Fredrik (25 years ago, 2-Oct-99, to lugnet.starwars)
