The MF, Slave 1, and minifig packs!!!  Just add an AT-AT, and you've got a grand slam for 2000.  Hopefully they'll get them out for
X-mas this year, but maybe they'll try to make do with the current line-up.

Let's see, the MF would obviously be the high-priced set at +$100.  How big would the Slave 1 be compared to X-wing?  Probably in
the $40-$50 range?  So then you need  ~$30, ~$20, and a couple $5-10 sets.  I'm guessing we'll see a regular TIE Fighter, probably
at $20; maybe an A-wing at $30.  An AT-ST (selectively compressed) or a cloud car could also come in at the $20 level.

What's left to do for smaller sets?  Maybe the sand-skiff used in ROTJ for the rescue.  How about the escape pod used by the droids?
That seems about it for personal craft, which leaves scenes, like the cantina or Degoba (can you say Naboo Swamp w/ a hut instead of
the STAPS) or an Ewok village.  Got any other ideas for small sets?

First off, a question...Do 2000 releases come out at Christmas time??  If so, I may have to camp out at Toys R Us  :-).

Regarding possible new sets...I guess Slave I would probably be similar in size to the Y and X-Wing fighters.  I don't know if this is
religiously to scale, but just thinking of the Kenner toys I had from the early 80s, they would probably do it similarly.  However, I'll
bet that Boba Fett will be like the young Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Vader, each of whom only comes in a MSRP $50 set.  Therefore, if
Slave I is only the size of the Y or X-Wing fighter, there will be an accompanying small set.  I don't know what would compliment Slave
I like the Y-Wing compliment's Darth Vader's TIE Fighter, but I think that they will think of some way to keep the price at $50.  Who
knows, maybe it will be a bounty hunter set?

Assuming that they only come out with about 8 sets, I think that the TIE Fighter is a reasonable guess for a ~$20 set.  These, I
imagine, will sell very well because you *CAN'T* have an Imperial Fleet with ONLY ONE TIE Fighter!  Since there are 3 years until the
next movie, Lego might want to hold back on some stuff that they think will be popular, so maybe the rest of the stuff that comes out
will be kind of boring, like a Sandcrawler or some kind of Jawa set, maybe a Luke + Owen & Beru Lars Moisture Farm set, maybe a Jabba
the Hut scene.

Probably the AT-AT and AT-ST will be put on hold until 2001 and serve as the "flagship" of that year's sets.  Similarly, the A & B-Wing
sets will probably have to wait their turn.  This is assuming no more EP1 sets, which may not be the case.  Maybe a Jedi Council type
minifig pack will be released.  Hopefully a Stormtrooper minifig pack, or something with a decent number of them.

Wow...So much to think about.  The anticipation is killing me!!
