It would be very helpful if someone could post those rules, as
it may be difficult for some people to get the form
(e.g. no store close to me has it) - i.e. one could then see whether
it's worth it to obtain the form etc., e.g. whether the submission
deadline is far enough off to actually do something, etc.

Well, someone yesterday or the day before posted the rules for the 17 and
over category.  Also, complete entry forms can be obtained from www.LEGO.com
from 6/1/99 to 12/31/99.  All entries must be submitted separately and
received by 12/31/99, so there's plenty of time to get building!

From what I've read, anything helpful and remotely futuristic (say, a
mass-production large station wagon that's *not* based on a pick-up truck)
is eligible, such that "Star Wars" is not much more than an attached
badge to this contest?

Yes, I have a feeling you're right about the Star Wars significance.  The
key thing here is that the contest is not so much about Star Wars LEGO
creations, but that the prizes are Star Wars-related.

Where at www.lego.com are the contest rules posted? Looked for a bit, couldn't find 'em. Pat J (...) (25 years ago, 16-Jun-99, to lugnet.starwars)
