Yup, if you hadn't noticed by the new packaging, this year marks 30 years of
Star Warsy goodness, and May 25th specifically is the date that Star Wars
actually premiered. So, go do something Star Warsish to celebrate. After
getting home from work, I built the TRU X-Wing (to Wedge's colors, since he long
ago won the claim of safest character to be) while watching the
original-original original movie with all the cut-and-paste SFX, and I'll be
wearing a Skywalker Ranch T-shirt to PotC3 (Much as I love SW, I can't quite
bring myself to bail on opening night of Jack Sparrow's new movie, even if he's
not a Ninja). Shame the upcoming Millennium Falcon set couldn't have been
released by now, but them's the breaks. Oh, and if you live in the US, don't
forget to pick up your Star Wars postage stamps today.
