While on a secret mission to summon the aid of the Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi,
Princess Leia is trapped on board her diplomatic starship. Knowing she will be
captured, she nonetheless fights to the end, and
does what she can to ensure that
her message will reach Obi-Wan, via R2-D2, even if she herself cannot.
