This looks fantastic!  I cracked up when I saw the images - and I can't get
over how *authentically carro* it lokos, given the medium!  Great job ...

I may be pushing the limits of this parody...

No way, there's lots more to do!  As soon as I saw this, I got a great picture
in my head: The Tomato-Wing Fighter.  Bascially, make a big red ball, maybe
with a tie-fighter canopy on the front.  Throw a green stem segment on top,
some greeblies to provide orientation ... voila!  I suppose you could even
model it on a Tie-Fighter, with the tomato replacing the central ball.  I'm
hoping someone else will run with this idea and render it in brick, since I
won't have the chance to for a while yet ...

Other ideas:

Asparagus Wing
Cucumber Wing
Corn Wing (I'm picturing a big cob, adorned with dozens of 1x1 yellow round
plates)

and so on!  There's *so* much mroe to be done in this line!

This was an extremely fun project to build and came out exactly the way I pictured it in my head. Links to a few images: (URL) the full page: (URL) may be pushing the limits of this parody... PLMKWYT!! (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.starwars) !!
