"Star Wars Parts" used in other themes - Toy Fair

Hi all, I was browsing thru Tim's awesome coverage of the Toy Fair (go to www.fbtb.net), and noticed this: (URL) me if I'm wrong, but this is the first set to use "Star Wars pieces" in a non-SW set (I'm talking about the Battle Droid arms on the (...) *Very* cool idea! :-) Interesting cockpit idea ("(URL) came up with a similar cockpit idea ("(URL) overall, I think yours is the far better model. I *really* want to know where you found those light-blue barrels, though! Franklin (23 years ago, 10-Feb-02, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: The Star Wars Alphabet Fighter Project

WOW Jon! Those fighters are truly great. I love the canopy on the G-fighter and dissolving it makes pretty good sense (I tried a hinge on a Duplo egg and it just didn't work). But the way the pilot gets into his D-fighter is truly amazing. I had to (...) (23 years ago, 9-Feb-02, to lugnet.starwars)
