You could probably squeeze 10 or 12 troops in the transport. The 6
troops in the last image can line up on either side of the ramp
inside the ship. The sides narrow from the ramp area to the
cockpit. Also, there is a entrance hatch to the cockpit.
As for the Spiffy, uh, it still looks neat.
