Well, if you want "glass" and you're not worried about scale you could use
the windshield that comes with the Imperial Shuttle. Though I don't have
one yet the windshield looks like it would work fairly well... not perfect,
but close enough for lego.
If you are worried about scale but don't care about "glass," you could use a
plate with wing pieces on either side attached by hinges (for the proper
angle.) Use black tiles for the "glass" and surround them with grey tiles.
In my mind it looks pretty good, if you like I'll make a dat file of what
I'm thinking so you can see it too (but I'm not gonna steal your MOC idea,
so don't worry... ;)
