Hello dear folks!

Just a weak sign of life slipping through my currently too busy real life job. Five new models I want present to you. They’re all common ship types from popular games like X-Wing, TIE Fighter, Rogue Squadron and many more.

Let’s start with the Assault Gunboat. An intersting shape, not easy to build. It has wing tips in the middle of the wings, while both wings and tips are angled. Some SNOT headlight bricks now attach the main wing and a clip plate holds the wing tip without any gap to the main wing so it really looks like being attached to the main wing.

A closely related craft to the Assault Gunboat is the so-called Missile Boat. Again two sets of angled wings, and again a similar construction trick. Brighter in hull colour than the grey Assault Gunboat, it’s built with white bricks, allowing us to use the nicely printed curved space shuttle slope for the cockpit.

Also of unique shape is the DX-9 Stormtrooper Transport many of you will be familiar with. Every part of the ship is sloped. There’s almost no entirely vertical or horizontal region for the hull. Fortunately a new piece appeared this year: the 1x2x(2/3) slope - a really amazing new brick! Unfortunately there are no solid ones yet, and thus the ship has a bit more venting slots than ususal. Headlight brick snotting ebables attachment of slopes from all sides here.

The next two models are less attractive, but they also get their chance to be brick-built. Not much more than a box with engines the Thata AT-AT Barge is a typical dropship, capable of carrying an AT-AT walker to a planet’s surface.

Theta-class AT-AT Barge

Basically a larger version of the Theta barge, the Y-85 Titan Dropship can carry up to 4 AT-ATs and 4 AT-STs. The shape is similar to the Theta with the difference that double-convex 2x2x3 slopes could be used to get the proper angles for the front part of the ship.

That’s it for this week. Thank you for your time and interest!

Hope to see you soon.

Yours Chris.
