Re: Hanging asteroids (was: Re: Announcing the great Asteroid MOC Contest!)

I fully agree with the ideas against hanging from the ceiling tile. I don't know how many asteroids (...) (20 years ago, 3-Jul-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.events.brickfest)

Re: Hanging asteroids (was: Re: Announcing the great Asteroid MOC Contest!)

(snip stuff about hanging devices) I'll need to talk with Dan about the feasibility of using these things for hanging. Personally, I am a bit wary for the reasons Phil mentioned, but also the cost involved in man hours and money. Dan and I have a (...) (...) Moon Zombies!? This is truly a frightening glimpse at a possible future. Where is "Dead Reckoning" when you need it? Well done, especially the curved building, I find the lack of interiors inspiring. This is madcap indeed. -Keith (20 years ago, 2-Jul-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

A Transformer and a few other things

Hi everyone, I just finished updating my website. I've created an original Lego transformer Decepticon named Hard Drive that can be found in my Lego section. I plan to enter him in the bot contest. The "Other Creations" section has the flying (...) (20 years ago, 1-Jul-05, to lugnet.space)

Re: Hanging asteroids (was: Re: Announcing the great Asteroid MOC Contest!)

(...) You could set up all the hang points in advance, and just hang paper clips as placeholders until the asteroids show up. There are all sorts of devices for (URL) hanging things from acoustic tiles> - a bunch of (URL) these> would break up the (...)   Re: Space Pirates, Mini-Melpomene, More!

(...) Awesome! This is really a wonderful asymmetric design, and it works visually, IMO. The engines are also great, especially the inner black plates, which strategically conceal what would have been otherwise a boring and empty space. Well done! (...)
