  Re: Marvin the Paranoid Android

(...) Well thanks, I guess. He does have Marvin's giant spherical head. And his droopy eyes. I guess that doesn't really count in the "absolutely nothing like him." Maybe I should have added that I didn't have the parts to do him in white (he's not (...) (20 years ago, 3-May-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Marvin the Paranoid Android

(...) It looks absolutely nothing like him, he's not even silver, or fat. It's no worse than any other mech I've seen lately though. Steve (20 years ago, 3-May-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Marvin the Paranoid Android

(...) Hahaha!! Thanks for the thoughtful note.. now that I reflect on it, the MOC does lend itself towards certain melancholy thoughts. -Lenny (20 years ago, 3-May-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Marvin the Paranoid Android

(...) (in slightly depressed tone) It's ok, I suppose. I sure that you were tired and overworked when making this rather small figurine. I feel sorry for you. I'd get more excited about it but, just can't quite work up the effort. :) Mark N (20 years ago, 3-May-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Marvin the Paranoid Android

(...) Thanks Jason! My lighting is really cheap. Both lamps are $10 or less, and the bulbs are normal sorts of bulbs (less than $5). Tripod isn't anymore than $15, and white paper that size should be easy to get in the $5 range. Less than the (...) (20 years ago, 3-May-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Melpomene

(...) Thanks for the comments. I really enjoyed this build. And I'm still amazed at how much weight the landing gear can take. Those giant click hinges are what makes it possible. On the other hand, they're so dang stiff that I have to squeeze the (...) (20 years ago, 3-May-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: NovaFlare GTX

(...) Sorry, I was trying to distinguish between canopies and cockpits. I don't think I showed an underside pic, but under the B-wing canopies, I've used trans black cockpits from the recent World City helicoptors. Originally, I had used the trans (...) (20 years ago, 3-May-05, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Marvin the Paranoid Android

(...) Nice. I think you really nailed the depressed look. (...) Your setup looks good. I really need to get around to buying some better lighting.   Spheres

(...) I recently made a smaller plate sphere in the same vein as Bruce's design: (URL) Enjoy. --Bram (20 years ago, 3-May-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: NovaFlare GTX

Hey Kirby, Even with the best camera on the market, photographing all black MOC's will always be a special challenge. However, from what I can see of this one, it rocks! That is by far the best and most unusual and yet totally cool usage of the big (...) (20 years ago, 1-May-05, to lugnet.space)
