Re: New MOC: ISNS New Chicago

(...) Thank you very much for the comments, Tony. Yeah, the camera work leaves a lot to be desired. I took the pictures outdoors (on top of a jackstanded Scirocco, actually, I try to make do with my available tools :p ) at about 4-5PM. The natural (...)   Re: awakened from deep hypersleep I have returned with new MOCs

(...) Seconded on the alien species. I don't have any Bionicle on hand to check, but I *think* the containers are part Toa Nuva lid and part Toa Metru lid. -Andrusi && (20 years ago, 21-Mar-05, to lugnet.space)

Hey, Very cool and innovative part usage, esp the Bionicle lid things and the rubberbandians. Bruce (20 years ago, 21-Mar-05, to lugnet.space)

Re: awakened from deep hypersleep I have returned with new MOCs

(...) Spotlighted for the alien work alone. These are classic guys that we all should use in our own work (and give credit to Patrick). -mark (20 years ago, 21-Mar-05, to lugnet.space)

Re: awakened from deep hypersleep I have returned with new MOCs

(...) Oh, wow. These have the same undefinable charm as the aliens encountered in the 1980 Legoland idea book (URL). Fantastic, Patrick! -Teddy (20 years ago, 21-Mar-05, to lugnet.space)

Re: awakened from deep hypersleep I have returned with new MOCs

(...) Welcome back! This is the stuff, man: (URL) The bigger aliens are cool too, but the various rubber band-headed guys are the best. That bionicle lid combination works really well. I can see why you reused the idea. The spiders are great... and (...) (20 years ago, 21-Mar-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Hey Ptrick! Very Cool! I really like what you did with container lids!! (I'm going to have to incorporate that into some building some time soon.) (...) Older Robo Riders lid, right? (...) Nice work with the Bionicle Toa Metru and Toa Nuva lids! And (...) (20 years ago, 21-Mar-05, to lugnet.space)

Re: New MOC: ISNS New Chicago

(...) I love the shape and the detailing. Your greebling is great. The shaping with plate panels covering the angled areas works beautifully. But you gotta work on photography. In fact, this is a massive step up from your previous stuff. It would be (...) (20 years ago, 21-Mar-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Stillsuits, anyone?

Okay, they're a little larger than the standard model, but (URL) this> is some pretty neat technology, and it's put to wonderful, humanitarian use. Dave! (20 years ago, 21-Mar-05, to lugnet.off-topic.geek, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: awakened from deep hypersleep I have returned with new MOCs

(...) What are the gas storage containers made out of? The bottom half of these look vaguely like the top of a Bionicle storage container. Is that right? What's the top half? I also like your alien species. Thanks, Jeff (20 years ago, 21-Mar-05, to lugnet.space)

awakened from deep hypersleep I have returned with new MOCs

I have been away from Lugnet for quite a while but continued to build. Check out some cool space stuff... First up is the Ice Planet 2002 moonbase Gas Extraction and Storage Facility (URL) Started as an L corridor to go between two other moonbases (...)   Re: I'm not Japanese. Really.

Soren, your MOC is awesome, very impressive as usual. So much details in such a small size ship! The greebles are neat, and each of them looks like having a function. It's not just greebles for texturazing, to fill an empty space. I'll definitly (...) (20 years ago, 21-Mar-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Are the monorail tracks compatable with Technic gears, and are they still available? Andrew Meyer (please e-mail replies) (20 years ago, 20-Mar-05, to lugnet.space)

(...) I love when you post new stuff because it always inspires me to build. Everybody liked how you got the curved edge to follow the wedge plate, and that's also the first thing I noticed, but on my second pass I picked up a lot of good technique (...)   Space Exploration Monorail

My first foray into Space (URL) all I have to do is locate all the parts to build it. (Well its a train, and uses HiTech control units, and a few Technic parts, so the cross-postings seem vaguely relevant) William (20 years ago, 20-Mar-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.trains, lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)
