Here is a not finished house the used another solution:

I used the "headlight piece" to do it.
The windows got to small and bulky so I abandoned the idea and rebuilt the
whole house, because I wanted the house to be more "minifig-like".
I thought I´d use some original latticed windows instead. Maybe your posted
pic can find new ways for me to finish building that darn house.. =)

But I agree with you on the windows becoming too bulky. If you could get rid of the bulky bricks, (...) (20 years ago, 15-Oct-04, to lugnet.build, lugnet.space)
