Check out the "Juggernaut" Medium Assault Mecha-

At 10.75 inches tall, it features concealed missle arrays, a heavy beam
pistol and a beam saber.

I know this was mainly a "big joint" showcase project, but I really like the
hand design, specifically the part the fingers are mounted on.  I can't remember
ever seeing that before.

Thanks, Kyle. In the next day or so, I'll add pics that shed more light on the
hand, foot, ankle, gun, and saber designs.

Overall, it's a really interesting mix of Battletech and Gundam that results in
a mech that looks different from just about anything else out there.

My only suggestion would be more armor cladding on the thighs.  It looks like
your joints can take the weight, and I think it would help connect the chest
with the calves.  Then again, that could be my personal taste in favor of
blockiness.

Cool mech!

When I started the project, I was aiming for something along the lines of the
less flashy, more practical military style mecha such as Gundam Wing's Leo,
Armored Core or Front Mission types. But I encountered stability issues as I
added plating and had to tone it down, so I settled for a
Battletech/non-tansforming Macross style. The finished product is a little off
balance as it is- mostly from the weight of the shoulder sections.

Later,
Todd
