Hoth Vision
Luke flees away from the cave and staggers out of the gorge into the dark and
snowy twilight. Weak and exhausted, he sees Ben Kenobi through the blowing snow.
It is hard to tell if Ben is real or a hallucination. Ben instructs Luke to
travel to Dagobah and seek the Jedi Master, Yoda. Luke drops into
unconciousness as the image of Ben fades...
Hoth Rescue
A lone tauntaun rider appears from the windswept horizon. Han leaps off the
tauntaun to the aid of Luke who has dropped into unconsciousness. Though the
tauntaun lets off a pitiful bellow, Han’s only concern is for the safety of
Luke. Luke doesn’t respond and Han turns to see the tauntaun stagger and die.
Han acts quickly and slices off the tauntaun’s belly using Luke’s lightsaber to
keep him warm with the beast’s innards to survive the snowstorm.
