With ever increasing fuel prices, and ever decreasing room on the road, the
viability of large, gas-guzzling vehicles at some point will have to be
questioned. Carmakers will find the market for small, lightweight, single person
vehicles in increasing demand. Smart ones would be making them now, but a 500cc
engine wont be attractive to the masses until petrol hits $5/litre.
Anyway, this is what I think the near future could hold for those looking for
something thatll run on the smell of an oily rag. Its the
California Commuter for
the new millenium.
I built this in an hour or two whilst avoiding building the two mechs I have
cluttering up my Lego desk. Im stuck on the legs on both of them :(
Thanks to Bram for the sweet, if cramped, cockpit design.
Cheers,
Allister

I pity the poor sap who gets too close to a cargo bearing vessel, especially one that is traveling fast enough to generate its own turbulence. If my half ton Mustang was getting tossed (...)
