Hi, a quick question of those of you that have a Galaxy Explorer.  I just

holes.  Does anyone else have these cones with the axle holes in this set?  I
would like to know if these are original parts.

Thanks and regards,

4x4x2 cones with axleholes were definitely around as early as 1982 (the rockets
in #6950 Mobile Rocket launcher used supporting axles), and since that was #497
Galaxy Explorer's last year of availability (replaced by #6980 Galaxy Commander
in 1983), I suppose it's possible, however unlikely, that a few #497's could
have been packed with these newer-version parts.

But it's just as easy to assume that whomever supplied you with the set did not
supply original parts.  I'd go with an Occum's Razor philosophy and lean towards
this being the probable case...
