I've had experience with figuring out what I have in a box of random parts. I've used Brickshelf's instruction category, and taken
certain parts in the batch and see what sets use that key item. What works best is a cluster of parts still assembled or a large
peice that sticks out from the bunch. To be certain, I start building the set around the key item to see if I have the parts.
