The P-38 Theme Hoverbike —Jamie Neufeld
Upon hearing of the P-38 contest in .space, the guys down at Moonbase County Hoverbikes deciced to pay homage and design a P-38 theme hoverbike. So after many nights of fabricating, building and an occasional arguement here and there, this was their (...) (20 years ago, 21-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

(...) Haha! Now that's just frikkin cool. I'm enjoying American HotRod much more right now tho. Maybe that's just because American Chopper is mostly reruns right now. Or maybe it's because I'm a total car nut. :\ --(URL) SteveR> (20 years ago, 21-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) If that doesn't win, there's no justice in this world. I think the standard hoverbike nose would benefit greatly by being flat instead of angled, but the rest of the design more than makes up for it. (20 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

I guess that's the smallest minifig P38 entry so far. This one works for me. Very nice touch to find the "white-black-white" stripes on the wings and twin fuselage! Nice work Jamie! JP. (20 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: The P-38 Theme Hoverbike —Geordan Hankinson
Haha sweet! I love this. That and Rides on TLC are the coolest shows ever. This badboy totally feels and looks like a chopper, I love the front end. It looks like a P38 too. Those minifigs are sweet. Awesome -Geordan (...) (20 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) Too. Dang. Funny. I can just hear Jr. screamin' at Pop that he can't come in have way thru a custom and start telling him what to do. Great stuff as per usual Jamie. -G (20 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: The P-38 Theme Hoverbike —Ley Ward
(...) Well Jamie, that's a very succinct staement. It very clearly says 'P-38' while being its own boss self. I like the American Choppers angle. I think we should do some kind of Choppers/ Monster Garage/ Trading Spaces sort of thing in LEGO. (...) (20 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: The P-38 Theme Hoverbike —Douglas R. Clark
(...) Well, I think your entry is the most original so far. Cool idea. I also like the minifig verions of Paul Jr & Sr. So are the "propeller disks" functional or are they bits of metal that paulie tacked on to make it look cool :-) I really like (...)
