Re: It would be cool to have...

(...) Thank you for your very helpful post. Highlighted. Sorry if I have caused a little controversy. I feel a lot better about .space now. Now I'm gonna build me some space MOCs! Nathan Wells (22 years ago, 17-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Argent Supra

(...) Greeting fellow Aussie... I'm not really a huge fan/builder of LEGO space (mainly for the knowledge and lack of building experience in that area)... but Steven Locke showed me this, and I totally agree with him :) very nice indeed and as I (...)   Re: LEGOFan.net - central community run hub for all areas of the LEGO community.

(...) I'm a professional Software Engineer with 3 years of PHP and mysql experience, were I to log in and discover poorly commented, badly structured, inefficent code I don't think I'd laugh, I think I'd fix it. As a community, I think you are (...) (22 years ago, 17-Feb-04, to lugnet.build, lugnet.castle, lugnet.general, lugnet.lego, lugnet.publish, lugnet.space, lugnet.starwars, lugnet.trains)

  Re: Argent Supra

(...) Thanks :-) (...) I had exactly those things about the printing in mind as I was building it. Well spotted! (...) Yeah, that was a detail that worked out really well. I just wish I knew what the 8-sided piece was called... (...) Again, thanks. (...) (22 years ago, 17-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Argent Supra

(...) Actually, I was thinking about using it for future spacecraft. I'm never too worried about what the landing gear look like, unless I have a cool idea for landing gear :-) (...) If it were any other colour than lime green, and if the printing (...) (22 years ago, 17-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: First MOC Post

(...) Nice shapes, reminds me of SG1 ... (have a look at (URL) ) keep up the good work! (22 years ago, 17-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Argent Supra

(...) Pah! Lime green is the new dark grey. Seriously, I like this colour. At first I didn't, but it grew on me. Besides, any colour looks good with silver. Thanks for replying :-) Cheers, (URL) Sci-Fi LEGO> (22 years ago, 17-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Argent Supra

(...) Thanks :-) (...) You're supposed to feel like trying something similar... you know, watch and learn, that sort of thing :-) Cheers, (URL) Sci-Fi LEGO> (22 years ago, 17-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Argent Supra

(...) Yeah, that the cool 8-sided clippable part, I wish I knew what it was called! A lot of Exploriens sets had them in white. I wish I had more of them! (...) Yeah, I think I prefer them printed in this case. I've been working with unprinted (...) (22 years ago, 17-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Argent Supra

(...) Thanks! Yeah, I can't get enough of those 8-sided clip plate thingys (The wedges are clipped onto those). (...) Gaah! I knew someone would mention that. Actually, there's a zero-gee toilet compartment on one side of the exit bay (beneath the (...) (22 years ago, 17-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Argent Supra

(...) Thanks. I actually quite like this colour, and I used it in a smaller craft but wanted to try something more adventurous, and I made a conservative guess that a gaudy colour like lime-green would need a cool neutral like chrome to improve the (...)   Re: Argent Supra

(...) The engines are my favourite detail too. They were the inspiration for the whole thing, they in turn developed around the use of the eight 3x12 wedges in a cone-like shape. (...) Thanks Dan. As I said to Bram, from an aesthetic point of view I (...) (22 years ago, 17-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Solara Hovercar MOC

(...) Thank you. The fact that the fins can be top and bottom just doubles the fun. Yes, that's the best sound system possible; when you're flying solo, ya gotta have tunes. This is what I call a 'studs-out' design; there are studs facing every (...) (22 years ago, 17-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Argent Supra

(...) More 3x12 wedge sloped MOCs to come, by the way... ;-) (...) I'm disagreeing with a few people here, but I don't think that the printing makes it look too busy. Indeed, it was something I considered while building it, and in the end I decided (...) (22 years ago, 17-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: the really really SMALL Eagle has landed

(...) Excellent! And only 7 pieces (for the lander)! Any bigger and you'd have quite a headache ;-) Peace and nanofigs, Professor Whateverly (URL) (22 years ago, 17-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Solara Hovercar MOC

(...) Thanks Tony. (For your comments and for posting the links during the brickshelf transition) That smooth panel actually started the idea rolling. Glad you like it. The headlights just had to be (and they practically wrap around), and those neon (...) (22 years ago, 17-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Argent Supra

(...) Excellent Paul! I can't wait to see what you do with the silver. Usually I'd prefer that they had used stickers rather than printing on bricks, but I don't mind the printing so much on this; it helps to break up the lime. I like how the (...) (22 years ago, 17-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)
