Re: Display stand for 7470 and 8480

(...) Keith, For the 7470 space shuttle (I don't have the 8480), the 10026 stand is definitely too light -- you can perch the model on the stand (untilted), but it's wobbly even then. Perhaps a modification using two or more of the liftarms with (...) (22 years ago, 29-Jan-04, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.space)

  Re: Flush access door

(...) I was challenging people to go to the next step of their innovation long before the title was applied to my name. Some people fulfill their challenge, others don't. I still don't think I've seen a moonbase from you Larry! Thanks, it's (...) (22 years ago, 29-Jan-04, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.town, lugnet.space)

  Re: Flush access door

(...) Such a simple little innovation, but a great one. The uses for space stuff and their affinity for studlessness makes it a welcome addition. Nice work. Cheers, -Gil (22 years ago, 29-Jan-04, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.town, lugnet.space)

  Re: Flush access door

(...) Oh please, you use a 1x5 technic 'rotor' plate and push the studs of an upturned 1x2 plate down into the ends and build on that. It's five long, so you get half a stud offset flush with your six-wide wall. Hide the rounded ends by resting them (...) (22 years ago, 29-Jan-04, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.town, lugnet.space)

  Re: Flush access door

(...) Its my first 8 wide but its not quite ready. Its a GE C40-8W and its 64 studs long. Its a monster. I'll post some pics in the next couple of weeks once key parts arrive. Mike (22 years ago, 29-Jan-04, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.town, lugnet.space)

Re: What next (was Re: Look out! (was Re: Oh no...))

(...) Thank you 3GA. This is what I really like about this community. In the midst of all the talk of evil and 3vil and building of weaponry, we see such civility, such a willingness to help. No dwelling on how sheepish I must feel, and nary a (...) (22 years ago, 29-Jan-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: We come in Peace....Man (New MOC Further 2.0)

(...) Thanks Daniel. I have to admit I'm feelin' groovy about the whole thing. While it's true that some folks hang out in quadrant L7, I think the response has been positive overall. we just need to share the love all the more. (...) Hey, embrace (...)
