New MOC: The Turtle —Nathan Wells
Greeting, .spacers. I am proud to present a new MOC: The (URL) Turtle> PLMKWYT! (URL) (21 years ago, 16-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX)

Re: New MOC: The Turtle —James Wilson
(...) Cool! It's deceptively roomy. At first glance it looks kinda small. But, shouldn't that be a Shurtle craft? (ducks) James Wilson Dallas, TX Lugnet member #1783 (21 years ago, 16-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: New MOC: The Turtle —Dave Schuler
(...) Thanks, James. You've tortoise a valuable lesson. And that is indeed a very cool ship! Dave! (21 years ago, 16-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: New MOC: The Turtle —James Wilson
      (...) Ouch! (21 years ago, 16-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: New MOC: The Turtle —Nathan Wells
(...) Thanks! I think SNOT helps make it feel small on the outside and large on the inside. (URL) (21 years ago, 18-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: New MOC: The Turtle —Anne Carasik
Coolness! I like the retractable landing gear. It looks like a large spiffcraft :) -Anne (...) -- For SCO to attack IBM using IP (\`--/') _ _______ .-r-. is somewhat like trying to eat >.~.\ `` ` `,`,`. ,'_'~`. a live tiger. -Ian Lance Taylor (v_," (...)          Re: New MOC: The Turtle —Nathan Wells
(...) Thanks! The landing gear is bit too simple for my taste, but it's better than none! (URL) (21 years ago, 18-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

Spared no expense, did we? ;) I think you've really gotten a lot of great shuttlecraft details in here. The rear hatch with (...) (21 years ago, 16-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

Re: New MOC: The Turtle —Nathan Wells
(...) Yes, I'm very picky about the details. :) (...) The Turtle is a lot taller than I first meant it to be, but my minifigs like lots of head room! (...) Infact, I used every single sand green piece I have in this MOC. Thanks for comments! (URL) (21 years ago, 18-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: New MOC: The Turtle —Mark Sandlin
(...) Nicely done. It definitely has a shuttle-ish shape. Well thought-out interior with under-seat storage. The rear looks a bit too engine-y for my taste, but that's not really a problem with your MOC. I really like the retractable landing ramp. (...)          Re: New MOC: The Turtle —Nathan Wells
(...) Thanks! (...) The engines do look too Classic-Spaceish for my liking, but they were the best I had. (...) That was a last minute addition when I found out my minifigs would have to use a stepladder to get into the shuttle. :) (...) Agreed. I'm (...)         Re: New MOC: The Turtle —Paul Easter
(...) Cool! I think it is a very neat design. Any chance of making it available as a .dat Ldraw cad file? Paul Easter (I usually hang out in the Cad area...) :) (URL) (21 years ago, 17-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: New MOC: The Turtle —Nathan Wells
(...) Thanks! (...) Sorry, but as you can see from this (URL), the Turtle has already met it's demise. :( (URL) (21 years ago, 18-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: New MOC: The Turtle —Chris Maddison
(...) Pretty nifty Nathan! The dark grey and sand green work suprising well. And I like those little landing gear on this big squat craft - very neat. Nice hatch too. The grill tiles on the floor are cool. -Chris (21 years ago, 17-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: New MOC: The Turtle —Terry Prosper
Nice, but I'd prefer it without the wings and wheeled instead. But still a nice little vehicule. I think the Turtle concept should be explored more. Terry (21 years ago, 17-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: New MOC: The Turtle —Nathan Wells
(...) Thanks! (...) I'm begining to get very fond of those windshields from the Cloud Car...:) (...) I also think the engine cluster is too plain, but I'm very low on thrusters. Thanks again! (URL) (21 years ago, 18-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)
