I would lay those vertical tail fins down flat. Or mount them flat on top
of a tail piece (similar to the design of the X-1 itself). The problem with
the vertical fins is that they just seem too SNOT to be classic space.
Other than that, I think you've nailed classic space. Very X-1 Patrol Craft
(which was my first lego set ever, so it's got a special place in my heart
:)
