Rubber hoses + control sticks = beautifully curved cockpits

Hey all,
Flexible rubber hoses (the new longer gray ones) fit snugly over the small
round knob on the end of a control stick. This keeps the hose firmly
attached while the joint at the base of the control stick allows for a large
range of movement over both x and y axis. This will work for the older
Classic Space black hoses as well, although these have thinner walls so the
fit is not as tight.
I discovered this while working the cockpit for my UCS-style Gunstar
(pictures up hopefully before the month is out, project almost finished).
This arrangement worked beautifully to achieve the difficult curves. Try it
out!
