I do agree that people do need to be more
expressive on LUGNET pertaining to the way
that structures are built on here.  Joel
is indeed correct here with his choice of
words. As for conformity and elitism,
however, I can sense the people who are
trying to do this online.  I hope that I
am not one of those people.  Sure, I may
not be the conventional Space type here
but at least I am not an egotistical jerk here.

Conformity and elitism...hmm, this doesn't
sound good at all, but I too, have noticed
to to a degree. I understand seniority in any
forum is inevitable, but it seems to me
whenever a lurker hits the scene and showcases
a finished model, it rarely garners much
attention *unless* it seems so momumental that
posters feel compelled to reply by its
greatness. (and I'm sure this rarely occurs.)

Yes, I do realize that the camaraderie has a
lot to do with it, and I wouldn't believe for
a second that a first posting should yield
that much attention, but it would be nice for
models to get a nice amount of imput. (and
when I say imput, I mean actual constructive
down to earth comments and criticism.) If put
kindly and in the right tone, It might
generate an atmosphere in which lurkers feel
welcome to post their creations. (and hence,
we have a more active community.)

Well, that's my thoughts. Take them for merit
as you wish, but since I'm not an active space
poster, you can disregard them for all I care.

Oh, and Joel, $2,500 is too rich for me.

Just a few thoughts,
