Mladen Pejic's recent hovertank sparked this one. it is based off of the RTS
game "Dark Reign" (the first one). this is not entirely accurate, of course.
I redesigned the base to be a bit more agressive looking, gave it space for
secondary weapons, and it's probably a bit bigger than it should be. oh
well, LMKWYT anyway.

*begin backstory*

in response to the threat of Imperium Tachion Tanks, whose superdense armor
was nearly impenetrable to most Freedom Guard mobile weaponry, a call went
out for a new heavy weapon platform specifically designed to defeat Imperium
Armor. using their own hover technology, carefully scavenged in small pieces
from thousands of imperium wrecks, and then painstakingly reassembled, the
Freedom Guard constructed a high-powered hover chassis to carry their new
weapon system. utilizing the same magnetic mass drivers present in their
fixed rail emplacements, and coupling them to an extremely high-powered
fusion reactor array, the Freedom Guard produced the Triple Rail Hovertank.
a floating mountain of destruction, the TRHT hauls three javelin-class
electromagnetic mass accelerator cannons at speeds over 150 km/h. the steel
sabot, depleted uranium AP shells, each the size of a human head, can rip
through imperium armor like a laser through aluminum sheeting. the two
crewmembers pilot the vehicle from inside the turret, surrounded by the
densest armor FG technology can produce. the pilot sits to the left, with
the gunner to the right. this model does not currently carry secondary
weapons, although the side panels for missile mounts are available.

Wicked model Anthony! I love polygonal look. The interior details are good too. Good job. :-D Mladen Pejic, over and out! (URL) lugnet.space, Anthony Babington writes: -snip- (...) -snip- (22 years ago, 23-Aug-02, to lugnet.space)
