(All AFAIK...)
The 1x2 brick in white with a left-pointing yellow arrow had no
right-pointing counterpoint (this is a yellow arrow with a black outline).
It came in 6780 [1986] only (and two in that set).
On a blue 1x2 brick, it came in one set: 6985 [1986]
The blue also had no right-pointing counterpart.
On a grey 1x2 brick, it came in two sets: 6891 [1985] and 6931 [1985]
The grey had no right-pointing counterpart.
That said, there WAS a white 1x2 brick with a DOWNWARD pointing arrow: 6925
[1988], and also a black 1x2 brick that was also downward pointing: 6894 [1987]
For completeness, I'll mention the blue 1x2 brick with downward arrow, but
that was a white arrow with no contrasting outline. That list is large, see
the end of the posting...
As for 1x4 with the same style arrow:
Blue, Left: 6931 [1985]
Blue, Right: 6931 [1985]
Grey, Left: 6952 [1985]
