I've been wanting to build a 80-90 stud long warship that's a kind of, uh,
cross if you stood it up and looked down. What I mean is a ship with 4 large
walls with all of the plates facing outwards. I'd like to do this so I could
have great firing arcs on all axes of the ship, and so I could add detail to
all parts of the ship. Anyhow, I was thinking of using technic beams on the
bottom of 2 of the "walls" and attaching those walls to the other 2 with
those pins that have 1 stud on the end. Now I KNOW this won't be strong by
itself. Maybe I could make some kind of internal beam structure? I plan to
make a small proof of concept model soon, to see if it's looks good, and
more importantly, to see how well it'll hold together. However, I need to
figure out exactly how I'm going to do this, and if it's even possible..
