So does the the mech pilot shout
"One express elevator to he--, going down!
Wooooooooo!!!!!!"
when he's released from the carrier?

Well, yeah... what else would he say? ;^)

A fun concept.
I love the design of the mech head (nice jackhammers there).

Thanks. :^)

In general the mech looks very parts efficient,
nothing more than it absolutely needs, since it would
need to be light and birdlike to be air dropped.

Thanks. That's kind of the look I was going for.

For some reason the thin knee wings don't help the design
though, they look like they'd get shot off by flak in nothing
flat (now don't say they're built of an indestructable
material...).

Ummm, errr. Ok, I stuck them on there because I thought they were kind of
neat. I dunno, I've seen a few "air" mecha that have wingy bits or
protrusions on their knees. I guess I was just doing a similar thing. :^)
