(sob) Yeah, gotta do it soon, man. We need to set up the extra room for the baby and that ship is so big I can't really put it anywhere else in the apartment. But I intend to keep it together until I can get better pics of the whole ship again. This (...) (24 years ago, 21-Jun-01, to lugnet.space)

(...) We know it's true, since we have our nice and handy fluid mechanics calculations. The drag experienced by a vehicle depends on a number of factors, including surface area, drag coefficient, viscosity and density of fluid, and the velocity of (...)   Irresponsible use of spacecraft (was Re: Wings [was: Re: Building big])

(...) :) Yes. People should buy much more economical atmospheric craft if they're not going into outer space. Just think of the extra fuel used by dragging those hyperspace drives around with your atmospheric thrusters. Sure, you can see over the (...) (...) DAN! Say it isn't so .... I was hoping that someday, before you dismantled your carrier, you'd fly out to the Northeast and we'd all get together and play a stunning Space-Pirate Brikwars game in your ship! Or Alien invasion ... either one, (...) (24 years ago, 20-Jun-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.gaming)

Re: Wings [was: Re: Building big]

(...) That may be true, but I don't think anyone knows for sure, because we haven't tried going that fast yet. My spacecraft follow a very "hard SF" policy - no FTL travel, no artificial gravity, etc. But that's not to say that it's the only way... (...)
